RIP Lucian Freud

My biggest painterly influence and living artist hero died today at 88.

Aw man. You know, he held the world record for painting sold by a living artist. I know this because, well, I love his work, but also because Toni’s kids had a book of world records and we got to have a long talk about bodies and acceptance and art because the piece that won the record was of a particularly robust lady on a couch.

I love Lucian Freud. RIP.

A great loss. :-(
